How Chocolatierella was created

Hello, dear chocolate lovers. First of all, let me thank you for spending your time reading this and for visiting my website, it truly means a lot!

I'd like to start by introducing myself, just so you know who is the crazy chocolate lady behind this website. My name is Doina, and I was born and raised in Republic of Moldova. I am a mom and law student by day and a chocolatier by night. Yes, I never sleep. I'm 29 years old and i've been living in Wales for 6 years now.

My small chocolate business was born in 2021, it was something that I always wanted to do, but was too scared to even try. After weeks and weeks of watching videos and reading about what is a small business, how to open one yourself, what documents you need, I made myself a to-do list and started to work. Let me tell you, it was a very long list, and in order to accomplish everything, I had to work super hard.

First of all, I needed a name for my business. I wanted it to be unique and also pretty cool, so I thought, why not play with the words ''chocolatier'' and ''Cinderella'', and well, that's how the business name ''CHOCOLATIERELLA'' came to life. If you don't know what the word ''chocolatier' means, it's the person who makes confectionery from chocolate basically. I then obviously registered the business, took all the necessary courses, invested in a lot of molds and good quality chocolate, and started to practice. Let me tell you, I was very bad at it. My chocolates looked absolutely terrible, I just couldn't master the tempering, I even tried different methods, and still, nothing. I was devastated, but I didn't give up. Once my 1 year old was asleep at night and my uni work was done, I was in the kitchen for hours, practicing. I did that every day, until I found the right way and learned my mistakes. 2 years later, I don't even need a thermometer, I can tell what temperature the chocolate is only by looking at it and by stirring it. It comes with practice, and believe me, everyone can do that.                               I then decided that the main colour of my brand is going to be pink, so i've been including it in my packaging, stickers, my selling platforms, literally everywhere. I wanted pink to represent the brand, and also, represent me. It used to be my favourite colour when I was a little girl, and since ''Cinderella'' became a part of the business name, I couldn't think of a more magical and beautiful colour than pink.

My first selling platform was Instagram, then Facebook, and now, it's this website too (which I made myself, so high five me). I managed to have a few sales straight away, which made me very happy and grateful. The first people to try my chocolates were my dearest friends, who received a selection of chocolates for free. Thankfully, they loved them. I then took part in Christmas markets, which was a huge success, and I plan to do that every year.                   I am being honest when I tell you that I have never received any complaint, all my customers are always over the moon with the chocolates I make, and honestly, that's the best reward for someone who owns a small business. The only objection I had was regarding the packaging, not the product itself, so I accepted that feedback and used it to improve the way the business runs.

I don't know what's going to happen in the future, maybe i'll open my own chocolate shop at some point, who knows, but for now, i'm just grateful to do what I love and to bring some magic into your life, my dear customer.

Thank you for your support along the way, and if you are new here, then heeeey and welcome! I assure you, you won't be disappointed.

With love, Doina aka Chocolatierella
